Welcome to the inaugural Back to School Christian Fiction Scavenger Hunt. We hope that throughout this hunt, you discover some new books and get to know a little more about us.
A few things before you begin:
This hunt is a blog hop. Collect the "clues" (pieces to the longer phrase) at each stop. Enter the individual giveaways along the way, then click on the link to the next stop and repeat until you reach #28, where you will input the full phrase as your entry to the grand prize drawing.
The hunt begins August 30, 2023, at noon EST and ends September 4, 2023, so you have plenty of time to visit each stop. If you need to step away and come back later, make a note of the last stop you visited, and go to this post with the list of all stops on the hunt.

Now that all those technicalities are out of the way... It's officially back-to-school for the kiddos!! Anyone else love this time of year? I certainly do, but probably not for the reasons you'd expect. I only have one child left in school, and for health reasons, she does online from home, so I don't get to send mine off anymore for child-free days. But that's okay -- I really feel so much better having her at home.
For me, back to school signifies the start of Fall! And Fall is my absolute favorite time of year!

I absolutely love the excitement and anticipation that my son radiates the week before school starts and the first 2 or 3 weeks of school.
ReplyDeleteThe thing I appreciate most of school starting up again and the onset of fall, is getting my life back into a routine. The summer is fun, but can be chaotic at times and I love things to be structured and routine.
ReplyDeleteWhat I love the most about this time of the year is the cooler weather, seeing the leaves changing colors, and being able to watch some football!
ReplyDeleteSeeing all the kids. I work at All Saints Catholic School, watching the kids before school. Since my room is next door to the pre school, I help them out (washing hands and putting backpacks away, etc.)

ReplyDeleteI love fall because of all the pumpkin flavored items that come out, such as pumpkin mocha, pumpkin bread, pumpkin pie, pumpkin cake. I do like other flavors associated with the fall too. I also like the fall colors too. I like seeing the leaves changing color in the fall. I have young grandchildren,too. I enjoy hearing about their favorite fall time activities.

ReplyDeleteI like almost all that fall is: cooler temperatures, colorful leaves, the smell of said leaves burning, the hint of family holiday get-togethers, and last but not least, more energy and desire to do outdoor activities and yard work. (I said almost all because I am not a fan of Halloween, but I do enjoy our church’s Hallelujah Night.)

ReplyDeleteI hadn't really thought of it until yesterday, but now that I have kids going to school, the "back to school" time of year is really like the beginning of the year for resolutions. I'll have more time on my hands and I desire to do better than I have been and I put plans in place to do that. Also, autumn is my favorite season. I love the cooler weather for family walks and such.

ReplyDeleteWhat I love about school starting back is that I don't have to go. I am a retired high school teacher. What I love about fall is pretty much the same as your list. I do not care for pumpkin flavored things either. I love the fall colors and cooler weather plus the coming holidays.
