EXCLUSIVE EXCERPT:
Mary pulled her legs to her chest and watched as happiness flooded him. Calm. He was different somehow. Changed. “And the convent?”
She stuck out her tongue. “They were strict. Always doing this chore or that. I never got to go to public school or go out and party. I was told that my body was a temple to be treasured for a god.” She raised a brow at him. “Now I know that it was for you, right? So, can I blame you for a boring ass teenage life?”
He laughed. “I didn’t know you existed until you showed up. We just ask for this or that and here you are.”
“You make kidnapping sound like it’s legal.”
He laughed again.
Mary found herself chuckling with him. She loved seeing a true smile on his face. The tension, at some point, had dissolved between them and now they sat like good friends. Would it be foolish if she trusted him, if even the slightest bit?
Solomon draped his arm around her shoulder. “Have you ever had a boyfriend?”
She shook her head as his heat absorbed into her. Her hands trembled at his caress, how his thumb rubbed her arm ever so slowly, drawing her insides into a clenched ball. Sweat formed on her temples. “No.”
“So, I’m your first?” His voice was low and dangerously sexy.
She tried to push him away like she was playing, but he didn’t move. “I wouldn’t call you my boyfriend.”
“Not yet.” His hand slid down her arm to her elbow, following the bend of her arm. His other hand had come up to her face and cupped her chin. She couldn’t move under his grasp as he looked into her eyes. “Koe, Virgin.”
She shook her head.
“You won’t beg for me?”
“Please, stop.” Mary could have kicked her own ass for those words, yet they tumbled out before she could refuse them.
Solomon laughed, his hot breath covering her face. “You’re cute. Will you be my girlfriend?”
“I-I-“ She couldn’t finish her sentence. Mary was speechless as his tongue toyed with her ear. She groaned as he sucked her lobe between his teeth. The rumble of his laughter shot straight between her thighs and she clenched them to stop herself from growing wetter.
“I do think you’re gorgeous. Now, I must feed.”
Mary slapped him and kicked with everything she had. “Please, stop, don’t-“
“Now that’s the noise I like to hear. Yes, my Virgin, please beg for me to show you mercy. I want to feel that voice strain as you lose hope.”

He bit into her and she could have fainted. The pain surged through her body like she’d been hit with a bag of bricks. His fangs were too sharp, too thick, and Mary grasped at his shoulders, needing to hang onto something. Tears soaked her cheeks as she heard him consuming her. She knew moving, fighting, would make it worse.
